FLAT REMOVALS · SOUTH WEST LONDON & SURREY
BM Removals handles flat moves across South West London and the Surrey borders — studio to three-bed, whole flat or a single item. Flats are usually a smaller load but trickier access: stairs, lifts, communal doors and permit parking are all part of the job, and that’s exactly what the free survey is for.
WHAT WE HANDLE
What We Handle
Studio to 3-bed flats
Whole-flat moves at any size, from a studio to a three-bedroom flat.
Part-loads
Just moving some of it? We size the crew and van to what’s actually going.
Single items
One sofa, one wardrobe, one delivery — single items in or out of a flat, no minimum load.
Packing, if you want it
Full or partial packing available as an optional extra, priced separately from the move.
Furniture dismantling
Beds, wardrobes and larger pieces taken apart and reassembled at the other end.
Moving a whole house instead? See our house removals page. Just need a man and a van for a small job? See man and van removals.
ACCESS AND PARKING
Access and Parking
Stairs
Flat moves usually mean stairs at one or both ends. It’s factored into the survey, not a surprise on the day.
Lift booking
Where a building has a lift, we’ll confirm whether it needs booking with the building manager or concierge, and get it booked in for moving day.
Narrow hallways & communal doors
Communal entrances, narrow hallways and fire doors are common in flats and blocks — we plan the route in advance, not on the day.
Loading bays & permits
Restricted loading bays and permit parking are normal near flats — tell us what applies at your building and we’ll work around it.
None of this is charged as an extra — it’s exactly what the survey is for.

A clear price confirmed in writing before anything is booked. Fully insured — goods in transit and public liability — with a 20% deposit once the price is agreed.
Move day
Our crew handles the stairs, the lift booking, the awkward corners — and leaves both properties clean and clear.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to book a lift?
If your building has a lift, some managing agents ask for it to be booked in advance. Tell us at the survey and we’ll help arrange it for moving day.
What if there’s no lift?
That’s normal for flats — we carry everything down (or up) the stairs. It’s factored into your quotation, not charged as an extra.
Do you need a parking permit for the van?
Depends on your building — some need a visitor permit or a loading bay booked. Let us know what applies so we can plan the loading around it.
Can you move a single item?
Yes — one piece of furniture or a single delivery, in or out of a flat. No minimum load.
How much notice do you need?
Around five days is usual. If it’s more urgent, call us — we’ll tell you straight away whether we can cover it.
Do you dismantle furniture for flat moves?
Yes — beds, wardrobes and other larger pieces, taken apart and put back together at the other end. Just flag it at the survey.
Ready to book your flat move?
Tell us what’s moving and which floor it’s on — we’ll call back with a free, no-obligation quote.
