Two very different Wimbledons
Wimbledon splits in two the moment you start moving here. Up in the Village, around the Common and the top of the hill, you’re dealing with big Victorian and Edwardian houses on narrow, steep roads that were never built with a removals van in mind. Down in South Wimbledon, nearer the Northern line, it’s mostly Victorian terraces and converted flats — smaller properties, tighter turnarounds, easier parking.
The hilly, narrow streets around the Village usually mean careful route planning, and sometimes a shorter shuttle run from the van to the door — a full-size lorry simply doesn’t fit down some of those roads. And every year in late June and into July, the Championships bring resident parking suspensions and road closures across SW19. If your move falls in that fortnight, we plan around it well in advance rather than finding out on the day.
Most of our Wimbledon moves go one of two ways: families trading up into the Village or Wimbledon Park for more space, or people moving into South Wimbledon’s flats and terraces as a step up from renting. We also do a steady run between here and Morden, Sutton and Colliers Wood.
Wimbledon Common and the Village high street are part of our regular patch — we just plan around Championship fortnight instead of ignoring it.

Do you cover Wimbledon?

How much does a house move cost?
It depends on the size of your property and how much you’re moving — the number of items matters as much as the number of bedrooms. We give you a written quotation before anything is booked, so you know the price up front rather than finding out on the day.
How do you work out the price?
Either a physical survey at your property, or you send us a video walkthrough by WhatsApp or email — whichever suits you. The video option means you don’t have to be in for an appointment, and it’s usually quicker.
How much notice do you need?
Around five days is usual. If your move is more urgent than that, it’s still worth calling — we’ll tell you straight away whether we can cover it.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully. Goods in transit cover for your belongings while they’re with us, and public liability cover for the work itself.
Do you do the packing?
We can. Packing and storage are priced separately from the move itself, so you only pay for what you need — some customers pack themselves and just want the move, others want everything handled.
Do you take a deposit?
Once the price is agreed we take 20%, and the balance is settled around the move.
What if my moving date changes?
It happens constantly with chains, and you don’t lose your deposit. We re-point the job to your new date.
