CR4 · MORDEN-BASED, COVERING MITCHAM
Removals in Mitcham, from a team who knows the tram line.
BM Removals, trading as House Removals London, is based just up London Road in Morden — Mitcham is one of our shortest, most regular runs.
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
A tram line runs through the middle of our route
Mitcham’s housing is a real mix — Victorian terraces around the Cricket Green and the older parts of town, sitting alongside a lot of inter-war and post-war estate housing further out, particularly around Pollards Hill. It’s generally more affordable and higher-density than Wimbledon or Sutton, which changes what a typical move here looks like.
The tram is the thing that makes Mitcham different from anywhere else we cover — Tramlink runs straight through, with stops at Mitcham and Mitcham Junction, and the tracks and level crossings affect how we route a van through the centre. Parking on the older terraced streets is tight and usually unrestricted rather than permitted, so it’s more about finding a space than clearing a permit.
London Road runs straight up to Morden, so a lot of our Mitcham jobs are short, local moves between the two. We also see people moving in from Tooting and Colliers Wood for more space at a lower price, and a fair number of moves onto or off the estates around Pollards Hill and Mitcham Common.
Mitcham Common, the Cricket Green and the tram line are all part of our daily patch — not somewhere we only turn up for a one-off job.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you cover Mitcham?
Yes — from the Cricket Green terraces to the Pollards Hill estates, and we route around the tram line rather than getting caught by it. Call us and we’ll confirm availability for your date.
How much does a house move cost?
It depends on the size of your property and how much you’re moving — the number of items matters as much as the number of bedrooms. We give you a written quotation before anything is booked, so you know the price up front rather than finding out on the day.
How do you work out the price?
Either a physical survey at your property, or you send us a video walkthrough by WhatsApp or email — whichever suits you. The video option means you don’t have to be in for an appointment, and it’s usually quicker.
How much notice do you need?
Around five days is usual. If your move is more urgent than that, it’s still worth calling — we’ll tell you straight away whether we can cover it.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully. Goods in transit cover for your belongings while they’re with us, and public liability cover for the work itself.
Do you do the packing?
We can. Packing and storage are priced separately from the move itself, so you only pay for what you need — some customers pack themselves and just want the move, others want everything handled.
Do you take a deposit?
Once the price is agreed we take 20%, and the balance is settled around the move.
What if my moving date changes?
It happens constantly with chains, and you don’t lose your deposit. We re-point the job to your new date.
