SM1-SM3 · MORDEN-BASED, COVERING SUTTON
Removals in Sutton, from a team just up the road.
BM Removals, trading as House Removals London, is based in Morden and covers Sutton every week — from the town centre out to Cheam, Belmont and Carshalton.
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
A town of two housing eras
Right around the High Street and the station you’ll find Victorian and Edwardian terraces and a growing number of newer flats. Head out just a little further — towards Cheam, Belmont or Carshalton — and it’s almost entirely 1930s semis, the bay-windowed suburban stock that makes up most of the borough.
That 1930s housing is actually one of the easier parts of our job — most of it comes with a driveway or at least off-street parking, which makes loading far simpler than on the terraced streets closer to town. The High Street itself is a different story: it’s pedestrianised in the centre, so a move near there usually means a short carry from the nearest legal parking rather than a straight run from the van to the door.
A lot of our Sutton moves are families arriving from Wimbledon, Tooting or Colliers Wood chasing more space and the borough’s schools, or people moving between Sutton, Cheam and Belmont as their children reach secondary-school age. We also handle a fair number of downsizing moves into the newer flats near the station.
Sutton High Street, the station and the surrounding school catchments are part of our regular run — we know which streets take a driveway and which need the trolley.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you cover Sutton?
Yes — town-centre terraces through to the Cheam and Belmont semis, including the ones with driveways we can get the van onto. Call us and we’ll confirm availability for your date.
How much does a house move cost?
It depends on the size of your property and how much you’re moving — the number of items matters as much as the number of bedrooms. We give you a written quotation before anything is booked, so you know the price up front rather than finding out on the day.
How do you work out the price?
Either a physical survey at your property, or you send us a video walkthrough by WhatsApp or email — whichever suits you. The video option means you don’t have to be in for an appointment, and it’s usually quicker.
How much notice do you need?
Around five days is usual. If your move is more urgent than that, it’s still worth calling — we’ll tell you straight away whether we can cover it.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully. Goods in transit cover for your belongings while they’re with us, and public liability cover for the work itself.
Do you do the packing?
We can. Packing and storage are priced separately from the move itself, so you only pay for what you need — some customers pack themselves and just want the move, others want everything handled.
Do you take a deposit?
Once the price is agreed we take 20%, and the balance is settled around the move.
What if my moving date changes?
It happens constantly with chains, and you don’t lose your deposit. We re-point the job to your new date.
